My first day in the cafe Madam Izzati introduced me to her mother which the only person who help her in the cafe as she’s not hiring any workers. I was wearing black t-shirt since thay do not have any formal uniform. Madam Izzati also introduced me to her father and other peoples that manage the gallery, all of them welcome me warmly and they are friendly too. I started working at 2pm until 7pm on the first day. Madam Izzati taught me how to make Cendol and Ais Kacang on that day. I also learned how to use the ais machine. Other than that, she taught me how to measure the ingredients and what tools should be use to measure the ingredients. At 7pm I ask Madam Izzati for permission to interview her. I started my second day working in the cafe at 5pm until 10pm. On that day Madam Izzati taught me how to cook “bee hoon soup” and “mee soup”. Madam Izzati cook the soup at her home and bring the soup to the cafe. When the customer order they will boil the noodles and when the noodles ready the will pour the soup and add all the chopped ingredients like fish ball, fishcake, chicken, garlic, prawn, sawi, beef etc. I also learned to chop the ingredients and measure the ingredients before add it into the bowl. I started working at 2pm until 7pm. The cafe usually busy at lunch hour so Madam Izzati taught me tohow to serve customers. I learned how to communicate with customers, how to take order, how to receive payment from customers, how to charge them based on their order and clean up the table when customers leave. On the fourth day I learned to cook fried noodles and fried bee hoon. Madam Izzati taught me the right technique to fried the noodles with all the ingredients like eggs, onions, soy sauce, carrots, pepper, sesame oil, salt etc. she taught me which one of the ingredient must put first until the last one. I already learned to cook so at fifth day Madam Izzati taught me to make drinks. I learned how to make perfect tea tarik, tea ais, juice, milo and many more drinks. On the seventh day I started working at 2pm until 7pm. I learned to make laksa all day. Madam Izzati cook the soup at home and she brings the soup to cafe, when customers order they just pour the Soup into the laksa bowl, add the ingredients and serve to customers. Madam Izzati taught me how to chop the ingredients that need to put in laksa.
