To take body temperature, there were first mercury thermometers, then digital thermometers. And now, Infrared Thermometers (the ubiquitous guns for measuring temperature) are now widely used at home, as well as in schools, airports, and some stores... This popularity stems from two factors: no physical contact is required, and they are extremely fast, as the person knows whether or not they have a fever in less than a second.

Given this, I've chosen to acquire an infrared thermometer for my kids. The two options I'm contemplating right now are Ankovo and Braun.

Ankovo thermometer is a lightweight device that can also be used on the forehead and in the ear for temperature measurement. Depending on the displayed value, the screen background changes color.

Ankovo's qualities that I admire include:

Braun is second on my list and it comes from a trusted brand. In fact, pediatricians suggest Braun thermometers the most. The Braun thermometer has its own set of advantages, which include:

- Fast, smooth, and easy to use.

- Temperature reading in 1 second.

- Sounds according to the measured temperature: 1 signal for normal temperature, 2 signals for fever, and 3 signals for very high fever.

- Works with disposable caps to prevent cross-contamination.

- Suitable for temperature measurement at all ages.

- Includes 21 disposable caps.

Both of these thermometers have positive feedback and ratings. Overall, both thermometers are suitable for use at home. The one variable in which Ankovo excels is affordability. It has almost all of the same features as Braun but costs less. As a result, I'm thinking of going with Ankovo.
