Peterson wrote in one of his novels about this too. The idea is to present the information through stories or real events. Show them the reality of climate change, don't just tell them! We must be direct in our speech and convince the population that this global issue can affect them personally too. Perhaps we could argue that the Loss Aversion bias is something that could bring about change. The feelings we experience from a loss are stronger than those we receive from a gain of an equal amount. For example, you will feel more emotions if you lost $100 than you would if you gained $100.
