LeBron James has participated in and given support to his community, which includes the I PROMISE School's opening.

The "I Promise" school is a public elementary in Akron, Ohio. Opened in 2018, it is supported by the LeBron James Family Foundation and specifically aimed at at-risk children. Opening with students attending grades third and fourth, the school became fully ready in 2022, for teaching grades one through eight.

The mission of the school was to have guidance and accountability of student's academics. To create a space for young kids to strive for the best of themselves. For those who don't have much this school is their starting point for that one step to their future.
