When you throw somthing in the bin it gose into a land fill which is then just put under ground and left there for up to a thousand years. But if you recycle things like plastic it can be sent to a place where they will melt it down and reuse it and make different things out of it that we use in out day to day like. And sending all this plastic to places where they melt it down and use it again is much better because for everyone because when you throw it in the water it is eaten by the fish and then we end up eating the fish.
