My grandma. She has made the biggest impact because I know she cares about me. She’s trustworthy and only wants the best for me. Or my brother. If he wanted something, he would do whatever it took to get it. He believed that I could do anything if I put my mind to it.

My dad has made the largest impact. I was tempted to say my daughter, but as I thought more I realized that I would never be the person or mother I am for her if it was not for his influence and sacrifice. His struggles and will to overcome his shortcomings has been a constant reminder to me to keep moving forward and push to be the person and parent that he was.
-Autumn C.

"Ya know Ms. Walker, you made a difference in my life"
How can you not find value in such a statement? When a student can come to you and tell you that YOU were the difference, even years later, that is the whole reason we walk into a classroom with the objective to be more than their teacher. WE need to go above and beyond what our employment contract calls of us to do so that these students know someone is pushing for them and someone cares about their well-being and not just their test scores.
-Autumn C.
