I have a genuine interest in the lives, challenges and overall feelings of the people I work with. My goal is to interact with others in a way that leaves them feeling valued and respected. I believe this builds trust and makes communication stronger.

It's important to me to keep calm and steady in complex situations. I tend to think first, then speak/act. I hope my teachers can rely on me to suspend judgement and support them where they are.

As a coach, I spend a lot of time getting to know my teachers as people to gain understanding of their "why" and the values that keep them going when it gets tough. I am also extremely organized and intentional about setting routines and structure with my teachers.

My superpower is to GROW where planted. I also, try to find JOY in all situations and circumstances. I feel these two things allow me to connect with our team, my work and the teachers I support to encourage them in all things and in any challenges they may face. This, as well as being as authentic as possible, allows for strong partnerships and relationships in both my personal and professional life.

So much of a coach's role is to focus on 'transformation' in order to reach desired results. And though a coach is equipped with many skills, the true work can't begin until there is a grasp on the situation at hand. This requires an ability to listen with understanding.

My super power with working with teachers and adult learners is meeting them where they're at! My goal is to encourage progress and growth over perfection. I value dedicating time to get to know teachers and joining them in their journey. Recently, I've shifted my language with working with teachers so they consistently hear and feel my intentions in this partnership. "You're not alone." "Do you think we should try....?" "I'm glad we are working on this together!"

I'm really passionate about cultivating a strong relationship with those I serve. Without authentic trust, even if I say all the right things, they won't be heard... which inevitably won't serve kids. I choose to believe the best about my teachers and really strive to pull out their potential. I like to bring innovative approaches to best meet teachers' needs and I like to think I'm a good listener, encourager, and cheerleader for both them and their students!

My superpower is my ability to build strong and lasting relationships with school partners, teachers and most importantly, the kids we serve. True, lasting change cannot happen if there is a lack of trust and belief in each other. Our kids and teachers deserve to know that someone believes in them always.
