This article dives into the performance of students and connected it to the internet or device access they have at home. If teachers assigned homework that required internet access, many students are already at a disadvantage and can fall behind. Students who grew up with technology at home will do better in college because of how much universities embrace technology. The technology availability at home can impact a student's performance at school. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>From this article that I have read about teachers struggling to use technology in the classroom, I've learned that not everyone has the devices to do certain things or join certain meetings online. There are families who don't have access to a computer or tablet, and there are some who don't even have access to the internet. This causes a problem because these students and their families cannot afford these items and need an alternative when it comes to doing homework on the internet. Additionally, having technology could have the students go on something else than what they need to be doing. A student could be listening to an online lesson about plants and animals, but they are too busy trying to ace a high score on a video game. With these things in mind, these challenges that the students face can negativity impact their success because they either get distracted or don't have the technology to do the work.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This article showed me the pros and cons about how technology can be used for the benefits and challenges, but mostly benefits. For the pro, seeing that collaboration outside a classroom group project is beneficial for technology to be useful. With apps like PowerPoint and social media, students can collaborate by calling or texting each other and getting work done by splitting the workload all online. This could also improve students to work together with their classmates and building bonds with each other. Another pro is the amount of programs that help students understand their learning a lot more. A teacher can create a Kahoot about the words the students are learning about and have a day in class where they can play that game, or students can create a Quizlet about the words and study them at their own pace. This can help students grow their learning and adapt study skills that can help them throughout their life.</p>]]></description>

You are relying on the kind of device the student has or how the wifi is working that day. Having to fix technical issues, give different instruction for different devices, or having to wait until the wifi comes back up is taking what little instructional time we have away. There are just too many things that can go wrong with technology for it to be a reliable learning tool.</p>]]></description>

Technology can also assist with classroom engagement and helps students connect ideas that they are learning to the outside world, creating a sense of real-world application for the students. Having technology comes at a financial cost not all families can bear, being that some schools don't provide the technology. This makes more of an academic struggle for some students who can't help their situation. Learning becomes a thing of privilege and convenience when solely relying on technology.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this article I read about many reasons struggle having technology in the classroom. One of the main reasons that stuck out to me was because the devices aren't all charged. I think this could be solved very easily. It might be in the way but at the day just making sure all the devices are charged at the end of the day (if they are left at the school) or plan the technology time at the end of the day and in the morning check the battery percentage.</p>]]></description>
