This simple act added fuel to burgeoning civil rights movement. Led to the Woolworth department store chain removing its policy of racial segregation in the southern united states. This group became the grassroots organizers of future sit-ins at lunch counters, wade in's at segregated swimming pools, and pray in white only churches.</div>]]></description>
