PARAGRAPH :

A paragraph is a series of sentences that are organized and all are related to a single topic.

ESSAY:

A piece of writing that is written to convince someone of something or to simply inform the reader about a particular topic.

ARTICLE:

A written composition in prose, usually nonfiction, on a specific topic, forming an independent part of book or the other publication , as a newspaper or a magazine.

or in other word it is a piece of writing which explicate ideas , thoughts, facts , suggestions based on a particular topic.

we have also discussed about the difference between essay and paragraph?

A paragraph refer to addressing a specific topic or theme and essay is simply a combination of two or more paragraph.

we have also discussed about the difference between essay and article?

Article are used to provide information about particular topic ,while essay are used to express personal opinions.

Article can not be biased ,essay can be biased according to writer's opinion.

PRECIS WRITING :

Precis writing is a summary or a gist of a comprehensive passage that is supposed to cover all the detail and important aspects of the passage and convey the summary with the use of minimal words.

That's all we done in our 1st lecture.

conclusion :

So today , Teacher gave us a task to make to make the portfolio on the things that we learned in professional communication lecture. I am little bit confused and tensed about my E- Portfolio and Assignment . After thinking a lot I have completed my today's lecture on Padlet . I enjoy it very much it was a kind of fun. I did not write any type of Diary in my childhood time but I'll try my best to make it more interesting.

Their are four type of essay :-

1. ) Descriptive essay

2. ) Analytical essay

3. ) Imaginative essay

   Descriptive essay: An descriptive essay is an essay which is fully descriptive in nature. This type of essay is long as in this, whole topic will completely described with all pros and cons and conclusion.

   Analytical essay :An analytical essay means you will need to present some type of argument , or claim , about what are you analyzing.

   
   

   Imaginative essay : An imaginative essay is an essay which tends to discuss anything from space travel to fantasy land.

   Informative essay: An informative essay is a non fiction writing that is written to inform readers on a certain topic or subject.

So, the topic was precis writing .He sent us a book named

"7 Habit of highly effective people ".so wee all asked to write the precis on the first habit which is "proactive and reactive response.

Conclusion :

I have completed my today task. I wish I'll do it in more batter way and I am enjoying it.

"The 7 Habit of Highly Effective People" by Stephen convey starts with the first habit which is Be Proactive means that, as human being , we are responsible for our own lives. Our behavior is a function of our decisions, not our conditions .

There are three central values in life: The experiential attitudinal, or our response to difficult circumstances . What matters most is how we respond to what we experience in life. Another way to became more self-aware and look at where we focus our time and energy. The things we are concern about could be described as our "circle of concern".

There are things we really do something about could be described as our "circle of influence . When we focus our time and energy in our Circle of Concern, but outside our Circle of Influence, we are not being effective. Proactive people focus their efforts in the Circle of Influence, causing their Circle of Influence to expand. Reactive people focus their efforts on the circle of Concern, over things they can’t control . Their negative energy causes their Circle of Influence to Shrink. Before we totally shift our life focus to our Circle of Influence, we need to consider two things in our Circle of Concern- Consequences and mistakes. Sometimes we make mistakes from our negative consequences, called mistakes. The proactive approach to a mistake is to acknowledge it instantly, correct and learn from it. “Success is the far side of failure”, said by T. J. Watson , IBM founder.

Proactive and reactive thinking is more than just two ways of thinking.They are ways of looking introspectively and at the outside world for yourself. The most successful people think proactively initially, and then they think reactively.Reactive behavior refers to the quick response to feelings about an uncontrollable situation.For example, if you lose a game, the sense of disappointment is reactive behavior. In other cases, reactive behavior results when someone places the needs of others over their priorities.On the other hand, proactive behavior or a proactive approach concerns anticipating problems or issues to generate positive results. People who practice proactive behavior often look at the entire situation to plan for unprecedented circumstances. In other words, you make decisions based on your thinking .Proactive thinking leads to success since you are planning for the future. Having a proactive approach is all about taking the responsibility of your life. Proactive individuals do not blame their circumstances and plan the future ahead. They do not let the external force influence their behavior. We could develop our sense of proactivity by tuning in to our daily frustrations. The more we realize what does not work around us. Pay attention to what frustrates you daily and find a way to solve it if possible. By fixing minor issues every day, we will start taking responsibility. Another way to start is to spend 5 minutes at night reflecting on our day, identifying these frustrations, and considering a potential solution. The next day, you try actually to apply what you came up with.

In vocabulary we learn phrase, clause, sentences, idioms , lets discuss these term -:

Phrase:

Phrases are a group of words that are used together in a sentences but does not contain a subject or a verb.

or

group of word make incomplete sense .

for example- Filled with joy, the girl jumped up and down.

clause-:

A clause is a group of word that contain a subject and a verb that have a relationship. for example " when it rained the went inside" consist of two clauses : "when it rained" and "they went inside".

Sentences-:

A sentences is a combination of word which make sense. For example We see them every week.

Idioms-:

Idiom is an expression whose meaning is different from the meaning of the individual words in it .

for example piece of cake - it means that something is very easy to complete ,Break a leg - means good luck

The author highlights the significance of taking charge of one's own future and the transformative power of proactive thinking through tales and examples. People can overcome obstacles and have a positive impact on their own and other people's lives by being resourceful and taking initiative.

The concept of direct, indirect, and no control problems and how a proactive approach can address each type effectively. Direct control issues involve personal behavior and are solved by changing habits. Indirect control problems relate to influencing others and are addressed by adapting methods of influence. No control problems, such as past events or situational realities, require accepting and living with them peacefully.

The proactive approach emphasizes taking responsibility for one's responses and focusing on the Circle of Influence, where one can effect change. The narrative illustrates this through a story of a proactive executive who, despite a dictatorial leader, focused on his Circle of Influence, eventually earning the president's trust and expanding his influence within the organization.

Phrasal word :

It is a combination of a verb and an adverb or a verb and a preposition , or both, in which the combination has a meaning different from the meaning of the words considered separately.

we take different type of example like breakdown ,give away, break up, run out, hang over etc.

Interview :

A formal, in-depth conversation between two or more persons, wherein exchange of information takes place, with a view of checking candidate's acceptability for the job.
we do an activity today , sir gave a task in that we have given a word from that word we all have to make a story which is very interesting.

My name is Rahul Pandey. I belong to Chamoli . I have completed my schooling from SHRI GURUNANAK PUBLIC SCHOOL. Now i am pursing my graduation in engineering from GRAPHIC ERA HILL UNIVERSITY. There are four member in my family including my father , mother , elder sister.

Q2. Why you have opted for CSE as your carrier ?

I opted CSE as my career because computer science is a most popular and demanding field . I just enjoy working on the computer I see a huge prospective in this field. The technology keeps evolving with Robotics and AIand to make these robots we need engineering.

Q3. What are you strength and weakness?

My strength is that I am a positive thinker and eager to learn new things and a technology.

My weakness is that I am not a public speaker, but i ma trying to improve my speaking in front of public. And sometime hesitate to ask for help.

Q4.) what are your hobbies?

My hobbies is to playing cricket and coking.

where do you see your self after 5 years?

After 5 years, I see myself in a reputed company at good position with more knowledge ,skill, and one of the responsible people in the company.

Q 5.) what is your goal & what do you want to achieve in your life?

My short term is to placed in a reputed company
