Proctor tells the judge he does not practice witch craft but because of everything that is going on and abigail is making accusations they believe  that proctor is a witch but he knows he is not. The court has no actual evidence that he is a witch but take  other peoples word with no proof this is an injustice. The song is about not being able to be told what to do and believing in what you think is right.
