         <description><![CDATA[<div>For a 2nd Grade lesson, I would use the standard 2.SL.CC.1- Participate with varied peers and adults in collaborative conversations in small or large groups about appropriate 2nd grade topics and texts.<br><br>In this lesson, students would read a story about The Grand Canyon. Then, we would come up with a Main Idea Statement as a class. In their collaborative groups, the students would be assigned a paragraph to identify key details and justify how the details support the main idea to the class. </div>]]></description>
