At first I cut 6 same size sticks and then glued them. Gradually I finished the basic shape but still I had more space to work. I made my name with sticks and glue them. 

This vase has a widest part in the middle, and narrower bottom and mouth. I think this kind of vase works well with big or large flower arrangements. I am happy with the result.

My process was a bit confusing and irritating. I had a million ideas and I tried doing them but none of my initial ideas ended up working. Either that or my mind just took a different direction every time I glued another stick. The one thing I for sure wanted in my final piece was for it to be a chandelier type piece. I wanted it to hang instead of sit. I started with the middle area which looks like a football. Then I added long sticks to a few of the points. It reminded me of a star and I went with that idea. Later I noticed that just the sticks themselves weren’t stable enough so I glued more diagonal sticks in between them. I then glued a few more sticks on the top and bottom of the other sticks. When he said that, I knew right away it looked like a Star Destroyer. So I cut off the two cross pieces at the end of the pointed tip and then acted on that idea of the Star Destroyer.
