My Great Grandpa immigration story is one of the many new things I have learned about my heritage. It all started when his wife died in Mexico. He was invited to an American church to become its pasture. When he got their he fell in love with a girl from the church, who would later become his wife. Thus, He decided to stay and became the first person in our family to come to America.

Another thing I learned was that the official name of Mexico is the United Mexican States and originated from it's capital, Mexico City. This city, Mexico City, was discovered by Aztecs in 1325 and was named by them Tenochtitlan. A century later it became known as the city of the Aztec Triple Alliance, created in 1430, and seen as the presiding city-state. The consisted of Tenochtitlan, Texcoco, and Tlacopan.
