Our colony was first settled by Catholics and Protestants seeking freedom of religion. The colony of Maryland in nestled in the Chesapeake Bay on the East Coast, which helps to bring beautiful spring, summer and fall weather. Winter's are usually cold and blanketed with snow. Fishing is a common economic market for our colony, along with lumbering and farming of the land. The bay is used for exporting and importing goods to and from our colony.
