Group 24-

Question 1- Technology gives students an alternative way to learn and a way in which they can relate to. They can explore new topics through videos, websites, and games that make learning fun and interactive. It helps them work together on projects, even if they’re not in the same place, and share ideas in creative ways like making slideshows, animations, or digital stories. Technology also helps students build important life skills, like solving problems, thinking critically, and using online tools safely and responsibly. It can make learning more exciting, more personal, and better suited to each student’s needs and interests. It's a great way for students to learn about the world and everything technology can assist with, in a controlled environment that can keep them aware and safe.

Question 2- One big concern is that they might see things online that are unsafe or upsetting, like violent content, bullying, or false information. Spending too much time on screens can also affect their sleep, mood, and ability to focus in class. Some children may feel pressure to look or act a certain way because of what they see on social media. And they also might share personal information without knowing the risks.

Question 3- To manage content risks, schools can teach students how to think critically about what they see online and use filters to block harmful or inappropriate material. For contract risks, students need simple lessons on privacy, and how to avoid scams or misleading terms when using apps and websites/ how to know if you're talking to a real person and if that real person is safe. Also not to interact with people you don't know. To reduce conduct risks like cyberbullying or harmful online behaviour, schools can promote kindness, empathy, and respectful communication through clear rules. Finally, to address compulsion risks such as excessive screen time or technology overuse schools can encourage healthy habits, teach balance, and encourage moments that support focus and wellbeing such as mindfulness breaks, physical education and create a good balance between handwritten work and technology work.
