Size:
They range in size from the tiny, 10.4 cm-long (4.1 in) Barbados threadsnake to the reticulated python of 6.95 meters (22.8 ft) in length. The fossil species Titanoboa cerrejonensis was 12.8 meters (42 ft) long.

Behavior:
Snakes are ectotherms, which means that they can't regulate their body temperature from within, as humans do. Instead, they use their environment, basking in the sun to keep warm or slipping underground to cool off

Foods:
All snakes are carnivores. Their diet depends on the species. Some eat warm-blooded prey (e.g., rodents, rabbits, birds), while others eat insects, amphibians (frogs or toads), eggs, other reptiles, fish, earthworms, or slugs. Snakes swallow their food whole.

Habitats:
Snakes live in a wide variety of habitats including forests, swamps, grasslands, deserts and in both fresh and salt water. Some are active at night, others during the day. Snakes are predators and eat a wide variety of animals, including rodents, insects, birds' eggs and young birds.

Ages:
But a rule of thumb (with lots of exceptions) is that the larger a snake can grow, the longer it can live. Boas usually live for 25 to over 50 years. Many colubrids have a life span of between 15 and 25 years and smaller species live for 5 to 10 years.

Size: Lizards are by far the most diverse group of modern reptiles in body shape and size. They range from 2 cm (0.8 inch) snout to vent in geckos (family Gekkonidae) to 3 metres (10 feet) in total length in monitor lizards (family Varanidae).

Behavior: Lizards tend to be bright, alert and responsive, almost inquisitive. Captive-born ones are more tame and docile, and tolerate handling and sometimes relax when being lightly stroked. Wild-caught lizards are often shy, wary and try to escape at the slightest disturbance.

Food: Many lizards are carnivores, which means they eat meat. A typical diet for a lizard includes ants, spiders, termites, cicadas, small mammals and even other lizards. Caiman lizards eat animals with shells, such as snails. Other lizards are omnivores, which means they eat vegetation and meat.

Habitats: Lizards can be found in every continent except Antarctica, and they live in all habitats except extremely cold areas and deep oceans. Most lizards live on the ground, but others can be found making their home in a tree, in a burrow, or in the water.

Ages: Most baby lizards are self-sufficient from birth and are able to walk, run and feed on their own. The young reach maturity at 18 months to 7 years, depending on the species. Some lizards can live up to 50 years.

They range in size from the small dwarf lanternshark (Etmopterus perryi), a deep sea species of only 17 centimetres (6.7 in) in length, to the whale shark (Rhincodon typus), the largest fish in the world, which reaches approximately 12 metres (40 ft) in length. Sharks are found in all seas and are common to depths of 2,000 metres (6,600 ft).

hello my name is Minh Châu today l will write about the life cycle of the butterflies. The life cycle of a butterfly is truly amazing. Butterflies have four life stages, the egg, the larva (caterpillar), the pupa (chrysalis), and the adult butterfly. Each of the four stages are very unique to individual species of butterflies which is part of what makes watching and raising butterflies so much fun.
The egg stage usually lasts 3-7 days but this can vary quite a bit among different species of butterflies.
A very tiny caterpillar hatches from the egg. The first meal for most caterpillars is the eggshell.
Black Swallowtail caterpillar on Common Rue.
Black Swallowtails, for example, have five instars or five different stages between the hatching from the egg and the time of pupation .The total time that the butterfly stays in the caterpillar stage is about 2-5
weeks and varies based on the species an This shell can take many forms and shapes depending on the species of butterfly. Once the caterpillar is firmly in place the exoskelton will split off exposing the pupa. the growing conditions.
Most butterfly species will stay in the chrysalis for about 1-2 weeks before the butterfly emerges.
When a butterfly emerges from a chrysalis its wings are crumpled. The butterfly will hang with its wings down and will begin pumping the wings full of fluids from their body to straighten them out.
The lifespan of most adult butterflies is about 2-3 weeks but this can vary greatly among species.
THANK YOU

In the non-breeding season, this species also can be found in areas of southern Canada and the northern United States, as well as parts of Asia and Europe.

2. Males weigh 1.5–5.5 pounds; females weigh 2–6.5 pounds. Snowy Owls have thick feathers for insulation, making them North America's heaviest owl. Some scientists think that females have larger bodies to store more fat for motherhood.

3. Snowy owls are solitary and territorial. Males defend a territory during the breeding season. ... Every four years or so, many snowy owls fly south into the northern United States during the winter. This probably happens in years when lemmings, their prey, are scarce farther north.
