The text evidence is on page 98, "How do I say it? Elliot thought. How do I say, "Look, it's nothing personal, and your photos are amazing, but I don't want you near me at school because you'll destroy the Elliot I've just put so much effort into inventing"?" He is very polite by not saying that to his face and trying to come up with the best thing he could possibly think of to say so he doesn't hurt Ben's feelings. 

2.Ben: open: Ben is open by how when he is talking to Elliot he just starts to spill out all of these emotions about his dad and his mom like when his dad died and he felt so bad about wanting him to leave and Elliot thought wow I would never share anything like that with anyone. The text evidence is on page 95, "That was my mom. He was . . . pretty mad at her about that. Didn't want me to have it. I heard them arguing once. Him saying I was turning into too much of a mama's boy. That I was growing up in to be a sissy, a wimp, not real man material. All because I didn't want to go and get beaten up by someone wearing a stupid pair of gloves.". This shows that Ben is open by how he is spilling out stuff about his family even though he doesn't even know who Elliot is and Elliot is basically a random boy from school.

3. Ben's mom: friendly: Ben's mom is friendly by how she talks to Elliot and the words she uses because she seems like a mom who doesn't usually gets visiters by how she's talking to Elliot with a kind surprised voice. Text evidence is on page 91, " It's wonderful to meet you." He had the impression that she had to restrain herself from hugging him. Why on earth was it wonderful to meet him? She didn't even know who he was.".
