         <description><![CDATA[<div>Andrew Carnegie was a very observant and talented man. While working on the Pennsylvania Railroad, Carnegie took careful notice to the business aspects of the company and paid close attention to the men who worked on handling money.  He was able to learn from their mistakes and advancing from their victories.  He was able to take a shot by investing in oil an other things.  These investments allowed Carnegie to profit greatly which helped him to establish his very own company and to start his own career path.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After selling his company, Carnegie began to make large donations to several different organizations and groups. Most donations were made to libraries&nbsp;and universities.  He donated nearly $5 million to to the New York Public Library alone.  He later went on to found the Carnegie Institute of Technology located in Pittsburgh which is best known as Carnegie Mellon University.  Next he went on to found and open the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.  After this he founded the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Andrew Carnegie was born August 25, 1835 in Dunfermline, United Kingdom and grew up with very little education. When he was 13, Carnegie came to the United States and began to work on a Pennsylvania factory. In 1849 he became a telegraph messenger and then became a telegraph operator. Soon after this, he became an assistant to a major telegraph operator for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Through his experience in all these businesses Carnegie was bale to learn about stock investments and return. These skills provided him with the ability to create and establish his own company in 1901. Through his life and steady career he was able to create the Carnegie Steele Company that was worth more than $200 million when he sold his company. After he sold his company, Carnegie began to donate to charities, creating libraries and started the very prestigious Carnegie-Mellon University.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
