         <title>National Road</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The national road was built because the new state of Ohio wanted to be connected to the east. Work on the project began in Cumberland, Maryland. The start of a war in 1812 halted construction. As a result, the first section of the road did not open until 1818.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The charter for the first National bank died in 1811. The national bank was brought back to life in 1816 creating the second national bank. After, the first national bank closed state banks started to act unwisely. They made to many loans and allowed too much money into circulation. As prices, rose American families dollars began to be worth less and less. The Second National Bank restored order to money supply, helping American businesses grow.</div>]]></description>
