Before this project I thought that certain groups in America weren't treated equally such as women, LGBTQ+, African Americans, and differently abled. I believed America has not completely achieved equality in terms of the treatment that these groups receive. This site supports my opinion: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2014/09/22/the-most-discriminated-against-people-in-america-its-people-like-you-of-course/?utm_term=.6a685233daaa

I learned the specifc stuggles women went through on their road to achieving their rights. I also saw more of the how rebellion was perceived which I knew less about before the project because the previous unit already taught me what hardships were faced by the group.

From the other video, especially from the differently abled video(knew the least about this group), I learned more about organizations and hardships that groups went through. *cough cough* Prefrontal lobotomies...

The next step towards equality in the groups that were discussed is probably more acceptance. People shouldn't be viewed as male or female they should be viewed as a person. The gender of person shouldn't matter when it comes to jobs, payments, or schools. The issues with differently abled people shouldn't be viewed as something out of the ordinary, it should just be perceived as something part of life or a natural occurance.

These issues mainly lie in human perceptions so if those are healed then a lot of violent discrimination problems and prejudice will stop.

This source backs up my opinion: https://www.alphr.com/business/1004722/why-changing-perceptions-is-the-key-to-gender-equality
