I don't believe we are alone in space. The reason why I think this way is because I don't think it's possible for us to be the only form of life in a space for which the science has proven to be never-ending. However, the question remains: what is "life"? If "life" is defined only as a carbon-based existence, then perhaps we are alone in the Universe. On the other hand, if we accept other forms of existence and are ready to call the "life", which at the moment we cannot comprehend because of our limited perspective, then I do believe that there are many other forms of life.
