         <title>Sentence branching is my favorite idea.  I talk about this a lot but never had a name for it or a way of teaching it.  STAR is also a wonderful technique.  Excellent ideas for eliminating &quot;be&quot; verbs as well as &quot;said&quot; and &quot;dead&quot; words.  </title>

         <title>I like the way he starts with a simple task and has them describe it.  He then builds on this sentence over the week doing brief mini-lessons to simply improve that one sentence.  Not so much that the kids get overwhelmed.</title>
