         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>When being in Poland and offered  a sandwich, you may only receive one slice of bread with butter and ham or cheese with slices of cucumber or tomatoes.</div><div><em>Kanapka</em> is the Polish word for most types of snacks that have a slice (or slices) of bread as a base component. It refers to all types of sandwiches but, above all else it means the beloved open sandwich. And among the surprising eating habits of Poland, the dominance of the open sandwich on every Poles’ working-day menu is the one that puzzles foreigners the most. <em>Kanapka</em> is the first choice for breakfast, lunch and supper, and doesn’t really differ depending on time of the day.</div>]]></description>

People love it, and because approximately 30% of Poland is covered with beautiful woodland it is one of the most common ways of spending free time outdoors. Poles are eager to wake up in the early morning to pick mushrooms before others, and they teach children the names of all the species of mushrooms as well as acquaint them with techniques of recognising if the mushroom is edible or lethally poisonous. Picking mushrooms is a serious thing in Poland and Polish mushroom dishes are usually world-class delights.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Polish food is not complete without the amazing desserts that&nbsp; make Polish cuisine famous. Polish cuisine is full of cookies and cakes.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><em>Kolaczkis</em> are perhaps one of the most popular desserts from Poland. These are folded cookies that contain a fruit filling (usually apricot) or a sweet cheese filling and then are lightly dusted with powdered sugar. Traditionally, these delicious cookies were served at Christmas time, but are now a year-round treat. Kolaczkis are best fresh, so it is best if they are homemade.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><em>Mazurka/</em>mazurek is not only a Polish folk dance, a sparrow, or someone from Mazur, but it is also the name of a wonderful flat cake. This cake is made from similar ingredients as kolaczki but is rolled flat. Like kolaczki, Mazurka also contains jam, but usually contains more than one type of jams in one cake. These jams are used to add a delicious fruity flavor to the cake and serve as the décor.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<em>Babka</em> is a delicious yeast cake that is shaped like an angel food cake. Babka is known for being an Easter dish. Babka is often made with raisins mixed in the dough and contains a fruit topping.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br>Mazurek</div>]]></description>

Alltogether, yearly we eat 3,8 miiliard broths, borsches, vegetable soups, cream soups, stews, that means 103 litre per one person<br><br>The main course is the most important part of the meal.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>Polish cuisine&nbsp; is known for being hearty and is for people who have strong stomaches. Many Polish dishes contain eggs, cream, and meats which make them very filling. We love floury dishes, dense sauces, fried and grilled meats. Our cuisine is rich in meat, particulary chicken, pork and beef. Cabbage, mushrooms, potatoes are also commonly used in our cuisine. They are contained in a large number of&nbsp; meals. Traditional dishes demand much time to preapre.</li><li>Foreigners when coming to Poland are surprised to see what’s on Polish plates. Tripes, saurekraut, pickled cucumbers arouse controversy as well as Polish hunter’s stew in which many flavours are mixed. Everything what is&nbsp; pickled&nbsp; is not understood. Another surprising fact is that we consume a lot of black tea for breakfast, dinner, supper.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
