One statistic that really showed us what we are doing to the planet was "99.9999 percent of all species that have ever existed are extinct. 50-55,000 species a year are going extinct because of humans, which is not the natural amount. This creates a chance for a dark age. Destruction of civilization is at risk. It will have been undone."

For example in the documentary they said "Scientist believe we are approaching a tipping point, at which point we will no longer be able to control climate. Once we hit that tipping point, things like Hurricane Katrina will become the norm." They explained how this could, and will put many places under water, so they used a call to action and told they want everyone to make a change in their actions. How can people be okay with the earth being destroyed? How can people let this happen? I asked myself while I watched. I know there is not much one person can do, but after watching the 11th hour I want to try to do everything I can to make the Earth a better place.
