It's a free app, and the website has some free coloring sheets (it also has paid content). You copy off the coloring sheets & the kids color them (hint: avoid black marker-- it confuses the app!). Then they use the app to turn their pictures into 3D & often-animated AR experiences (some even include games!). They love seeing their colored pictures turned into a character or item on the screen!
We Are Teachers also has a great list of activities (I love the first one which utilizes iPads & their cameras...or you could even just use digital cameras if you could collect some of those!).
