In your Genially presentation, you must deal with the history, culture, key facts, and their role within the EU. This could include information on the language, currency, significant contributions to the EU, and interesting cultural facts (music, literature, folklore, food).

Step 5: interview with an EU Citizen.

To prepare your presentation, you must interview someone from your EU country, either in-person if possible or via Gmail/Skype. Before this, you have to think about the questions you want them to answer!

Talk to the teachers and students in the school's Erasmus+ team to get access to these people, or to help you find someone from a different country.

Step 9: Create Your Own EU Country.

At the end of the unit, you have to get creative and design your own European Union member state. This includes drawing a flag, creating a national anthem, outlining government structure, and writing a brief history. Don't forget your favourite food and somewhere to visit!

There is too much information on the Internet. Begin by selecting a few webs and sharing them with your partners. You can do it in three ways:

Use a Padlet like this.
Use a Symbaloo organizer.
Install Pocket as an extension to your browser (it is already installed in Mozilla Firefox).

Now, your group and you must write a draft before your presentation. You have to use your Google account at IES Almicerán and open a new Google document

(you can check this tutorial if you have forgotten how to do it).

Everybody has to contribute to the draft - I'll check it!

When your draft is ready, share it with me and I'll make you suggestions in order to improve it. Here are some ideas:

Do not copy from the Internet. Write your own version in a simple language.
Use only images, sounds and video without copyright. Credit the authors appropriately.
Use interesting information. Your classmates are going to evaluate you on this!

National tourism agencies, like Visit Portugal, Explore France, Visit Malta, Visit Estonia, etcetera.
Travel guides, for example Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Kids World Travel Guide and many others.

Write different pages for every topic: historical facts; culture (music, literature, folklore, food); key facts like language(s), capital city, number of inhabitans or highest mountains; role within the EU; tourist attractions; and any other you feel like!
