Hello, my name is Sjors and I am 27 years old.

I live in the Netherlands with my girlfriend.

My friend Alex asked me if I wanted to run the London Marathon. I had a stoma since I was 17.

My friend Alex lives in London and he's going to show me the city.

I'm looking forward to seeing Alex again.

It's my first time in London, I am very excited to go to Londen.

I flew to London on July 27th, from Schiphol Amsterdam to heathrow London.

I flew with KLM, I landed at 10:20 am English time.

The flight went very well and before I knew it I had landed.

When I landed Alex was already at the airport.

I packed my bags and walked towards Alex.

When I got to Alex's we went to the car and then Alex took me to the hotel.

Alex and I were on our way to my hotel, When we arrived I couldn't get into my hotel room yet.

Alex and I first had something to eat on the terrace, after which we went back to my hotel.

When we got back to the hotel I was able to check in. I went straight to my hotel room and unpacked my suitcases.

I went to sleep around 10pm and the next morning I was able to have breakfast at my hotel.

I liked the hotel!

On July 29th it was finally time! The London Marathon.

The start was at 10 a.m. I started well, but by the halfway point I was starting to find it tough.

Alex and I ran at the same time, when we reached the finish line we ran across the finish line together.

It was a fun and tough experience.
