--The Rabbit Army in Australia -- 12 rabbits were sent to Australia in 1859 and by 1886, hundreds of rabbits were taking the country over. This problem is due to the lack of rabbit hunting. This is important to evolution because it shows the effect a species can make in a new environment. It also helped scientists understand the functions of predators in a certain environment.
--I chose this topic as 10 because it wasn't very significant to me. It also wan't too interesting for me.

--Common Descent -- The belief that every living organism/microorganism is related by a common ancestor. This is important to evolution because it helps show the similarities between extremely different species. It also helped scientists discover the behaviours and characteristics in many newly found species.

--Drug Resistance in Bacteria -- A mutation in one small microorganism can cause millions of bacteria to be immune to any life-threatening antibiotic. This is important to evolution because it shows a microorganisms ability to become unaffected by chemicals that could kill it. It also helped scientists figure out new ways to destroy those microorganisms, but will soon affect the bacteria tremendously.

--Mimicry -- The way a struggling organism is able to resemble a thriving organism to help its species survive is amazing. This is important to evolution because it shows a species' ability to protect itself over the course of many generations. It also helped scientists better understand the way a certain species is able to defend itself.
--I chose this topic as a 7 because it was important to understand the reason for two completely different species to look exactly alike. However, it wasn't important enough to be rated higher because I learned more important reasons why organisms can be similar.
http://d1by67ljd45m4v.cloudfront.net/media/C3F85939-0C8A-1258-939B20C3E270DC96.jpg

--Camouflage -- An organism’s ability to blend their physical appearance into their surroundings is phenomenal. This is important to evolution because it shows how an organism can protect itself from predators. It also helped scientists learn more on how one species can be distinct and indefinite to other species.
http://cdn.instantshift.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/camouflaged-animals-01.jpg

--RNA editing -- The way the coleoid cephalopods are able to change their RNA without altering the genes is astounding. This is important to evolution because it shows how coleoid cephalopods are able to change or adapt to new environments. It also helped scientists understand how they are able to make so many new changes without difficulty.
--I chose this topic as a 2 because I was very fascinated on how coleoid cephalopods adapted to their environment.
