Also known as JuanGa, was born in Paracuaro Michoacán. He was born to farmer parents and was one of 10 children. He rose to fame by appearing on a TV show, playing his guitar and singing his first song "No tengo dinero". Juan Gabriel hold a special place in my heart because one of my uncles loved his music and passed away due to Tuberculosis when he was young. Many years later my dad took me to see Juan Gabriel at the Toyota Center in Houston. Sadly, JuaGa passed away four years ago, but he's still alive in in his music and lyrics. In one o his songs he sings "music is so divine, that it even heals people."

Selena Quintanilla

Selena was born on April 16, 1971, in Lake Jackson, Texas. Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla, was a former musician. He managed and produced his family's group, Selena Y Los Dinos. Selena grew up speaking English, but her father taught her to sing in Spanish so she could resonate with the Latino community. Her life sadly came to an end when the founder of her fan club, Yolanda Saldivar, shot her to death in Corpus Christi on March 31st, 1995.

I would bring candles to her altar because even till this day she lives in people's hearts, and flowers to represent how beautiful she was inside and out.

She had passed away on February 11, 2012, in Beverly Hills, California. One of the movies that helped her during her acting career and success as a song artist was The Body Guard since of the album’s soundtrack with Whitney’s cover of Dolly Parton's “I will always love you” that became the biggest hit single in rock history. Her mostly known accomplishments as a singer was she had became the first artist ever to have seven consecutive singles hit number one in the U.S. charts. She has made many hit albums and singles in her lifetime. In 1996 she was documented with drug abuse and was a daily user. She was twice admitted to rehab and she had declared herself to be drug-free in 2010 but returned to rehab in May 2011. Her final acting performance was in Sparkle in 2012. The movie was a remake of the 1976 movie, Sparkle. The movie was released after her death. She will always be remembered as one of the most amazing singers of all time.

After he studied in howard university he started acting. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016, but still hid it from the public not make people worry. Blanca Flores is my tia that I never met. She was born April 15th 1988, she was born with a big bump on the back of her head that didn’t let her do anything. She sadly passed away in October of 1988, but for the 6 months that she lived she stayed in the hospital. Víctor Flores is my grandpa, I never met him either. He was born June 11th 1956, but in 1993 he left my mom when she was only 10 years old to go with a new family in mexico. After he left, he never contacted my mom so he never got to meet me and his other grandkids and he recently passed on April 19th 2020. I am honoring my tia and my grandpa because I never met them and i wish I did but I know they’re in a better place and hopefully they’re doing good .

Abraham Israel Ibarra Marquez was on april 24 1973 and passed away in the begging of 2016 was not just a great father,son,tio,and friend he was also a great person to be around when he wasn't mad. He was AMAZING in general he had a laugh that could make you laugh as well..and also his chistes and tonterias too. He was a hard-working , independent, strong, funny, determined to make his dreams/wishes come true no matter what problems he was facing.To me he was more than just an amazing father he was also a role model, hero, and also MY BEST FRIEND that could NEVER be replaced. To him i was his princessa, lombriz, his chilindrina. Even though we didn't get to do the stuff we wanted such as having our father and daughter dance in my future quince (next year) and him walking the isle also visiting different places and seeing me graduate middle and high school as well as collage. I made this alter for my uncle Jerome because he was a good person a good uncle very protective over his family loved his family he was a really funny person and he had the type of laugh that would make you laugh because it was so loud and funny my uncle was born on may 24 1982 and sadly passed away may 16 2020 unexpectedly. He was going through a lot that month and he had a seizure and that seizure caused him to hit his throat on a hard object according to his autopsy. We all miss him dearly he has two boys and a little girl and he was married. We are still devastated till this day and miss him more and more everyday but now he’s up in heaven and watching over us. It’s sad he passed away a few days before his birthday and that he was stressed before his passing.
