  • Laura’s family lived all over the great plains when she was growing up. Later in her life she wrote childrens stories about growing up there.
  • Her stories give her families perspective, for example she tries to highlight the native americans in good ways and she wrote about the tribes that came to her doors and hung out with her family.
  • Laura Ingalls Wilder published articles for Missouri Ruralist and then her daughter inspired her to become a writer.
