How Music Affects Emotions

Music affects emotions. For example, if someone is playing sad music, you will probably feel sad. If someone is playing happy music, you will feel happy. In movies, they use it to kind of trick you into knowing what's going to happen with music. For example, if you are watching Scream or IT, and the music becomes suspenseful, you will get the feeling that something or someone will jump out at you or get killed. If you are watching Dirty Dancing or Grease, and the music gets louder to block out words, you can tell time is passing or they are practicing. That's how music affects emotions.
