Despite the disadvantages of the Red Army they are able push back and defeat them, with a large debt to Trotsky. during the war Lenin instituted "War Communism" in order to strengthen the nation, but this lead to the death of millions of Russians due to starvation, after this Lenin quickly abandons war communism after the civil war and instituted a New Economic Policy to jumpstart the economy. He also instituted/created Leninism which was geared to Lenin's beliefs, ideologies, and philosophy. Following the civil war of 1922, the Union of Soviet Socieliest Republics (USSR/Soviet Union) is created through treaties with other European nations.
