         <description><![CDATA[<div>#6 Provide a supportive learning environment for students’ first and/or second language acquisition by using research-based instructional approaches...<br>While discussing how to instruct students in a General Education class it is important to learn how to address the specific learning needs of the individual students in the classroom. Students with English as a second language require different supports that need to be imbedded in the class curriculum. We need to think about how we include these supports and create an environment where the students feel part of the whole. Focusing on equality and creating an environment with inclusion is the focus. No student should feel separated while learning. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>#2 Use knowledge about students and learning goals to organize the curriculum to facilitate student understanding of subject matter, and make accommodations and/or modifications as needed to promote student access to the curriculum. <br>Creating a learning map offered experience in creating a flow of curriculum that supported all students in the class composite. Teaching subject matter is not just relaying information and expecting response. It is designing concepts to apply to the understanding of others. With students who differ in ability it is important to know who they are, and what their skills are before planning how to teach them new skills. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>#2 Maintain ongoing communication with students and	families,	including the	use	of	<br>technology to communicate with	and	support	students and	families,	and	to communicate achievement	expectations	and	student	progress.<br>This is a TPE I need to continue to work on. I struggle with remaining consistent with communication during the school year. I offer access to behavioral information and messaging through Class Dojo, but in the hustle and bustle of the day not all data is taken and messages are missed. Setting time aside throughout the day to take care of parent communication is important to encourage an open and honest relationship with my student's families. </div>]]></description>
