Cliffs of Moher

Visually spectacular, the Cliffs of Moher sit astride the striking landscape of the
Burren on one side and the Wild Atlantic Ocean on the other. Rising out of the
Atlantic waters to a height of over 700ft at O’Brien’s Tower and running along the
coast of Clare for almost 14 kilometres, or 8 miles, the Cliffs of Moher were formed
over 320 million years ago, and today form part of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher
UNESCO Global Geopark. The Cliffs of Moher is in a Special Protection Area for
Birds and Wildlife. The magnificent Cliffs on the Wild Atlantic Way host major
colonies of nesting sea birds and are one of the country’s most important
bird-breeding sites.

Wicklow Mountains National Park

Wicklow Mountains National Park stretches across almost 23,000 hectares south of
Dublin. The largest of Ireland’s National Parks and the only one in the east, Wicklow
features wide-open vistas, winding mountain roads and fast-flowing streams that descend into the deep lakes of the wooded valleys, including St Kevin’s monastery settlement at Glendalough.

The Glendalough Valley is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and has
many attractions to entice visitors, from its world famous Monastic Site with Round
Tower to its scenic lakes and valleys, as well as a selection of walks and trails in the
area including The Wicklow Way. The National Park also run educational nature
walks for adults and children.

Killarney National Park

The Burren

The Aran Islands or The Arans are a group of three islands at the mouth of Galway Bay, off the west coast of Ireland, with a total area around 46 km2. They constitute the historic barony of Aran in County Galway.

From west to east, the islands are: Inishmore,which is the largest; Inishmaan, the second-largest; and Inisheer, the smallest. There are also several islets.

Giant’s Causeway

The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. It is located in County Antrim on the north coast of Northern Ireland, about three miles northeast of the town of Bushmills.
It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 and a national nature reserve by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland in 1987.
Much of the Giant's Causeway and Causeway Coast World Heritage Site is owned and managed by the National Trust. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Northern Ireland.

Connemara National Park

Connemara National Park covers some 2,000 hectares of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs, heaths, grasslands and woodlands in County Galway. Some of the National Park’s mountains, namely Benbaun, Bencullagh, Benbrack and Muckanaght, are part of the famous Twelve Bens or Beanna Beola range.

Opened to the public in 1980, the National Park includes lands that once formed part of the Kylemore Abbey Estate, the Letterfrack Industrial School, and the private property of Richard ‘Humanity Dick’ Martin, who helped to form the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Inishowen

Benbulbin (Irish: Binn Ghulbain),sometimes Benbulben or Ben Bulben, is a large flat-topped nunatak rock formation in County Sligo, Ireland. It is part of the Dartry Mountains, in an area sometimes called "Yeats Country".

Benbulbin is a protected site, designated as a County Geological Site by Sligo County Council.

Benbulbin was shaped during the ice age, when Ireland was under glaciers. Originally it was a large plateau. Glaciers moving from the northeast to southwest shaped it into its present distinct formation.
