Whenever you hire a new operator, no matter how skilled he/she is, tell him/her to read the operating and maintenance (O&M) manual for their attractions. The O&M manual essentially gives you every important information you need to know on how to properly maintain your equipment. Though the maintenance is fairly same for every aquatic facility, every waterpark is a bit different from the other. The structure, equipment and pool size vary from facility to facility. So it is always better to appoint a new operator under an experienced one who is working in that waterpark.

Equipment is the backbone of any aquatic facility, checking the equipment at least once in a week will give you an idea about their condition. Always put your equipment away properly at the end of the season. Avoid poor seasonal shutdown and change or repair that equipment which are not working properly, all these things should be done at the end of the season, so that your waterpark should be ready for the next season.

Keep in mind that maintenance is a continuous process, it is equally important as swimming pool renovation. Don’t be afraid to change the maintenance process, and if you have constructed a new waterpark, then it is suggested that you should follow a strict maintenance schedule from day one.
