         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) The labor movement in the United States grew out of the need out of thr need to protect the common interest of workers.The labor movement led efforts to stop child labor,give health benefits and provide aid to workers who were injured or retired.<br>2) They did not like them because of economy and were being led by anarchists. the incident served to confirm for government leaders that business needed protection and unions were to be opposed.<br>3)The term laissez-faire means an economic system in which transactions between private parties are free from government interference such as regulations, privileges, tariffs, and subsidies.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Immigration Impacts </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.) Urbanization led to changes in the physical landscape. Trees and fields were replaced by bricks buildings and paved roads. Cities grew haphazardly. Streets were often not wide enough to bear the increased traffic. Horse drawn cars crowded the streets, making movement almost impossible.<br><br>2.) The immigrants before 1880, Northern Europe, Great Britain, Ireland, and Germany. The immigrants after 1880, came from Southern and Eastern Europe. Most of the early immigrants spoke english.The new immigrants didn't speak english.<br><br>3.) The flood of the immigrants. European immigrants flooded into American cities in search of work and place to live. In many of the largest American cities, European immigrants outnumbered native born Americans.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1)</strong>The great migration was the movement of 6 million African-Americans out of the rural Southern United States to the urban Northeast, Midwest, and West that occurred between 1910 and 1970.<br><strong>2)</strong> It had a huge impact on urban life in the United States. Blacks driven from their homes and began to build a new place for themselves in public life, actively confronting economic, political and social challenges and creating a new black urban culture that would exert enormous influence in the decades to come.<br><strong>3) </strong>Westward expansion resulted in Native Americans losing their native homelands and changing their culture to accommodate teachings from white settlers.
