With ongoing ICE raids and immigration, a lot of families who already felt distrust are less likely to visit doctors/clinics to get their needs met IF they wanted to in a hospital setting. Many families also already hold so much wisdom about medicinal practices, and fear of having them be co-opted/stolen by the health field.

On top of that, those from non-privileged backgrounds often receive fewer access to resources and worse care. There are lots of parallels to the education system
