In spite of flowing water in the lake, a few people went there for fishing or swimming, since there was one mythical story once appeared in the placid lake.

Linda G.: The story begins on that day, several decades ago, a group of teenages came here to take  photographs for a competition because of the beautiful sights. Then, a survivor said they encountered a Basilisk and it killed most of them by poison. Other people fleed in horror. Two of them were never seen again, government only found some pieces of clothes. One of them got mad not long after this. And the survivor told the story to native residents. In the continueing years, government locked the lake down because, they said, there were poisonous snakes living in the lake, but many people did not believe it and thought government had hidden the truth.

Lucy: To be honest I don’t believe a single word of it. The weirdest thing is that basilisks are hatched by roosters. What nonsense! But I think it’s a good mythical story as a national culture.Basilisk is treated as the guardian in Basel which is a city in Switzerland.

It is really high and always covered with snow. People don’t go there very often. They go  there only for picking snow lotus or other medical materials. It is really dangerous to go up there. The weather is unpredictable and there’re many wild animals on the mountain. However, the bad weather and the animals are not the only thing that keeps people far away from the mountain. They also believe that there’re some strange creatures in the mountain.

Andrew:The story goes that one day, at least 300 years ago, a bunch of Tibetans were firmly convinced by the story of saussurea involucrate(天山雪莲). So they wanted to get up to the mountain to get the flower and pay it as a tribute to the emperor. But they were attacked by a couple of snow leopard when they are searching. They tried to ran but the leopard kept up with them. When they thought they will die there, a huge animal in white fur suddenly appeared. "The animal looked like a giant ape!" one of the participants said. The white ape drove the leopard away and left instantly. The youngs were completely shocked and they left instantly too.

Sandy:As I first heard about the stories said by the girl, I didn’t believe a single word of it. Why would the yeti came to rescue a human being? It didn’t have any relation to humans at all. Not surprisingly,the girl didn’t have any evidence to prove her saying. Also,the second man claimed of having seen yeti when he was unconscious. What nonsense! How could he recognize the creature which helped him when he was unconscious? It is not far from the city. It’s beautiful here and has a developed tourism. However, only a few people have the confidence to visit the forest near the village, including my villagers. They don’t just fear the darkness in the forest. The people in my village also believe that there’s a mysterious creature living in the forest. They call it centaur. Annie:The story goes back to 1999, when a group of people went to the forest to kill a beast that frightened the villagers for centuries. Villagers had never seen the beast, but only heard its roar and seen the shadow of a man like creature. Children were told never enter that forbidden forest since they could understand words. This group of people was out to clear the beast to protect the villagers. When they went on their tour in the gloomy forest air, trees were spying at them at every direction. Suddenly, they heard a loud noise coming from the lakeside. It was a terrible scream. The group of man went over instantly, and saw a blackish hooded creature, shaped like a man but flying in the air. They felt a sudden cold air surrounding them, and without noticing, they were losing their conscious. They have no idea what happened, they found themselves lying on the back of a horse, or I shall say a centaur when they woke up. Yet, as you may guess, the centaur had saved the men from the dark force of the dementors, which is a kind of creature that can suck people’s soul out of them. Emma: Actually I don’t believe a single word of it, but there are a lot of witnesses said what they saw were really amazing, and how nice the centaurs were, which the centaurs help them when they were hurt and vulnerable. What nonsense! And some people said they would came into the forest looking for the centaurs were. Not surprisingly, no one had found the centaurs and have the pictures of them anymore. The weirdest thing is, how could a creature have half of the human body and half of the horse’s body live just in the forest beside us? Where was the creature came from? The offspring of human and horse? It is just nonsense.

But only the bravest can get into the center of the mountain, and most of the time people will gather medicine outside. There are many rivers on the mountain, but there are not many fish in the river. Sometimes people see strange black shadows in the river.

Betty: Once upon a time, a father and son went up to the mountain to gather herbs. Suddenly, he heard his son screaming. He saw son seemed paralyzed, but his eyes were still fixed on a nearby rock. The father rushed to his son's side, and looked where his son's eyes were looking.He saw a creepy monster which has a gray fat body, it’s size is similar to a cat but has two arms! he quickly picked up a sharp stick, pierced the tower with the body of the worm.Surprisingly, it’s blood splash out burned the father's legs. As the father's leg kept bleeding, he lost a lot of blood and finally died. When the son returned to the village, he told everyone in the village about this fierce creature.

There is information about it in the records of people near the Alps, and many people claim to have seen it, although no one has evidence to prove its existence. People say there are always bloodthirsty werewolves. There are various legends about bloodthirsty werewolves widely spread in the north and west of Europe. These two places are sparsely populated and full of endless mountains and forests, especially in France and other places.

Andy:A man and his children were out hunting one afternoon. They found a hare far away and shot it.But when they came to look for the hare ，a wolf dragged it away.The father and son ran fast to catch up, because this was the only harvest they hunted this afternoon. They were lost in a forest ，then a man appeared. They asked him if he had seen a wolf with a hare. The man said no.But after that no one had seen them again until the man‘s wife and villagers found them dead three days later in the forest，with a gun，a dead hare and wounds on their stomachs and necks.

Troy:In my opinion, although I have heard several news or stories about this kind of bloodthirsty werewolf, I don’t believe a single word of it. As I notice that some local rags always published strange news about the bloodthirsty werewolf. What nonsense. I’m confused about these weird stories. Imagine that if there were bloodthirsty werewolf with purple fur, it would be evolved from werewolves. From werewolves to bloodthirsty werewolves might cost loads of periods. The weirdest thing is that, until now, no one have found any other werewolves. Not surprisingly, the witnesses all couldn’t be found after the article published.
