This commercial shows elderly people in potentially life threatening situations be saved by using the company's product, Life Call. This commercial obviously utilizes the tragedy hyperspace, intergalactic rule in that it shows people in a situation where they are at a risk of dying. In the "What We Call the News," commercial, a similar case is shown in the short clip that mentions a mauling at a zoo, where someone likely died as a result of the event. This commercial showed people being saved by the product the company was trying to sell.

Budweiser

This Budweiser commercial honored the September 11 attacks, in a very solemn fashion. This commercial used the dramatic hyperspace rule in the slow, deliberate way that the commercial was filmed and the effects that the music had on the overall tone of the commercial. This commercial is most closely related to the scene concerning breaking news because the events of 9/11 were not only among the most tragic events in American history, the news all throughout the day was covering the events that happened that morning.

Love Story- Taylor Swift

"Love Story," by Taylor Swift, is very obviously referring to the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, and the romance that comes with it. The romance element of the hyperspace, intergalactic rules of newsworthiness would be fulfilled completely by this song, and even more so given the fates of the main characters in the original play being doomed to an untimely death. Though it is an entirely different kind of love and sexual elements, the video referred to a statistic concerning Britney Spears, as well as some of the scandals that have rocked politics in the past few decades.
