With this sculpture I want to create the shape but with my arms waving, so it gives the affect that I am tracing the shape of it with my hands.

I chose this sculpture because it represented wrist rolls the best out of ones I had found. I wanted to include a spiralling sculpture as I felt I could get very creative with the shape of it.

As soon I saw this sculpture I knew i8 would want to connect it with house dance as it shows all 3 key e

elements of the style: bent knees, on tip toes and use of arms. When I choreographed this section of the dance I kept a lot of the movement in this position and if I moved out of it I would then return to it.

This statue is the focus point for my solo.

Initially I wanted to use this statue to represent Hip-hop but then I decided to change it to the main focus for my solo as it isn't just hip-hop that brings me peace it is all the styles and dance in general. I ended my solo in this position to represent this sculpture and show that all the styles I whooped through my piece made me whole.

I chose this because it had a range run speed and lots of different sounds that I could use for each section of my dance. The words "can't nobody steal my joy" are repeated throughout the song which I ended up using as another focus point of my piece. Dance is my joy so I linked my final statue 'peace' with the lyrics of the song.
