Our country, our pride, our Pakistan. The history engraved in our school books is a mere tangible compilation of all our leaders did for us and the sacrifices they made for the freedom of future generations.  Independence Day makes me feel grateful. It makes me have gratitude for my ancestors and it helps me appreciate all they did for us to roam free, indiscriminate for our religion and culture.

1. Sajid Sadpara: Son of a famous mountaineer, Ali Sadpara, Sajid Sadpara was another name celebrated and acknowledged for his passion and contribution in bringing a good name to the country. In the summer of 2019, Sajid became the youngest person to summit K2.
2. Arfa Karim: Became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professionals at the age of 9 years old in 2004. She received the "Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal" in the field of science and technology in 2005 by the Prime minister of Pakistan.
3. Talha Talib: The Pakistani weightlifter secured a fifth position in the 67kg category with an overall impressive lifting of 241 KG of weight.

Pakistan was born from almost a 100 years of struggle and perseverance. As a new state, Pakistan and its people faced many challenges but stayed strong. Independence Day reminds us all of the many sacrifices our ancestors braved, solely for freedom of all. From heritage sites to beautiful, successful tourism, Pakistan excels in providing hope to me, that my future generations would be able to live freely without being persecuted for their Islamic ideals. This Independence Day, we must also remember the people of Kashmir, who are being persecuted for upholding the same ideals Jinnah once had - freedom and peace for all.
