We all know that Pakistan is far from perfect. Sometimes it seems extremely difficult to live here. However, Pakistan is our home. It is important to honour the fight our predecessors put up for us to have the freedom we have today and as the future generation, it is our responsibility to turn Pakistan into a place we want to live in. A place of peace, prosperity and happiness. Happy 74th birthday Pakistan.

Mahey Noman Faruqi
SY-W N-8

Years of sacrifice and austerity have given us what we have today. Our country, our pride, our Pakistan. The history engraved in our school books is a mere tangible compilation of all our leaders did for us and the sacrifices they made for the freedom of future generations. Independence Day makes me feel grateful. It makes me have gratitude for my ancestors and it helps me appreciate all they did for us to roam free, indiscriminate for our religion and culture.

Hamzaa Minhaj
XI-W, N-9

Imagine it. Debris and blood all around you. This is what the survivors of the Partition recall decades later.
Pakistan was born from almost a 100 years of struggle and perseverance. As a new state, Pakistan and its people faced many challenges but stayed strong. Independence Day reminds us all of the many sacrifices our ancestors braved, solely for freedom of all. From heritage sites to beautiful, successful tourism, Pakistan excels in providing hope to me, that my future generations would be able to live freely without being persecuted for their Islamic ideals. This Independence Day, we must also remember the people of Kashmir, who are being persecuted for upholding the same ideals Jinnah once had - freedom and peace for all.
Ayesha Faisal Malik
XI-S, N1
