Women have always been portrayed as someone who can be put off easily. It's harmful because it gives men the idea that they don't have to take women seriously and don't have to listen to them.  
This can be changed by, instead of her being excited about something so trivial. This derives from the position that women have been subjected to in past years where women weren’t able to do anything else society because the government deemed it unnecessary. This is harmful to the image of being anything else but a stay at home mom and lessens self-esteem.

Just by how much different emotions she shows it could give off the idea of women being pure, naive, and fragile. That we always correlate things with love or something that to that extent and always end up getting hurt because are the ones that are narrow minded and men are the ones that can have relationships with someone else that is not romantic. It’s harmful because it just shows that women all have the same mindset and are incapable of making decisions by themselves or being alone in general. 
A way that this could become a healthier situation is that both, male and female, protagonists can have a confrontational discussion about things and get the air cleared. That way the female can move on and show how she is capable of having a normal platonic relationship.
