September 14th In
ballet today we did a nice lengthy barre. Due to the fact that I enjoy barre I
did not mind it at all. Today my main focus was balance and turn out. However in order to have good balance i must pay close attention to every exercise we do at barre considering i must work up to have good balance. Some of those techniques i need to focus on in order to nail my technique include pulling up in my rib cage and making air in between my
hips and my ribs. Also to act as though there are strings attached to my hips
pulling them forward and up. After watching my video I am quite pleased to say
that I believe that this correction for the most part was applied. Like I said
before I am really cracking down on technique due to the fact that it does of
course need a lot of improvement. However one thing that I did notice was sometimes i am so focused on one thing i forget to do the other. That being sometimes i am so focused on staying on my supporting foot or having good balance... i forget to straighten my legs. The following video makes my point valid.

September 19th Once again just a normal ballet class. and yet again deciding to mainly focus on balance. Not only do i decide to focus mainly on that because i want my turns to improve. I believe once one nails the balance aspect of ballet other things begin to get easier for example adagio. After viewing this video i see that i must have been having an off day considering i did not kow the combo as well as i usually do so now i know i neeed to pay closer attention next time. looking at all of the videos i took previously i see a lot of improvement. I am happy to see that already I am doing much better technical wise. My balance in my turns have gotten much better thanks to your help. However in my turns vie noticed my thumbs sticking way up when I dance and do all the moves. That is something I will need to pay more attention to. Thank you!

October 17th After a long detailed barre
which I enjoyed very much, besides the muscle intensive combination of fondues
we did, it was very good. I now made the conclusion
that when I tend to dance more big and full out my back often becomes more
arched and that is something I definitely need to work on. Like i said previously there are sooo many things i need to focus on, and it is hard for me to remember everything, but im working on it. As you said today to try to make the combination more dancy, i lost my concrete technique i normally dont have an issue with.

October 5th Today
in ballet it was just a normal class with a nice lengthy barre and a little
center floor. Glad to see I am improving slowly but surely. The barre I
believe is really helping out with this considering we get to do easy balance
exercises at barre that I am paying attention to very deeply while you give out
good tips during to combinations. I think it is very true that how one takes on barre will show in the center. Almost like how you eat will show on the outside. For example if you eat fried chicken everyday then one will be tired and lazy, but if you eat healthy then one will have a lot of energy ~ that was brought up today in class, brief discussion on nutrition. Alike to the fact if you put in your best effort at barre, itll show when in the center. Class went by extremely quickly not going to lie. cant wait for next week.

The first ballet of the new year I'd say was pretty good. I am very excited to work on my technique for this start to a new year. I see my technique improving from last year tremendously and i am really happy to say that. Comparing freshman year to now is a big step and i couldn't be more grateful for the amazing training i get each and everyday. Today in class we did a more lengthy barre, but as you most likely know i wasnt too upset about this considering i like barre and i feel as if the longer barre we do the more warmed up i am for center and the better i dance. After elaborating on my pirhoette video i see that my technique is a little rusty considering i only dance lightly this summer. I am sure there will be more improvement within the next couple of weeks.
ballet today we did a nice lengthy barre. Due to the fact that I enjoy barre I
did not mind it at all.
