         <description><![CDATA[<div>- skin scraped against a rough surface and the top layer of skin wears away exposing numerous blood capillaries (increases risk of infection)<br><br>INITIAL CARE: clean with soap/water or sterile solution and then use a sterile dressing to keep wound clean with antibacterial ointment.<br><br>POST CARE:&nbsp;Use saline solution to clean wound repeatedly and keep changing the dressing.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Blunt force is delivered over a sharp bone or a bone that is poorly padded, giving a wound the appearance of a jagged-edge cavity (can result in skin avulsion)</div><div><br>INITIAL CARE: clean with sterile solution, depending on the severity of how deep laceration is apply sutures within 12 hours, and apply dressing.<br><br>POST CARE: Don't get the wound wet, change the bandage if it gets wet or dirty, apply antibiotic ointment as physician directs, and check wounds for signs of infection.</div>]]></description>
