This is a photo of my sister, grandmother, and myself. I also found this photo while sifting through memories and felt it fit the emotions I wanted to convey in this padlet. While I was only 16 at the time of my grandmothers passing, I had never truly felt the scope of her loss until the interview with my mother. These interviews with my mother have helped me to understand the significance my grandmother had on her life, and the unmeasurable significance my mother has on my own life.

Here is a photo of my mother and I, where she is cutting my hair. Being back home over break I had the chance to look over old photos that I had never seen before. The interview process had me self-reflecting a lot over break. I had felt a deeper appreciation for my mother and everything she has done for me, and her profound effect on my life. Without her I would not be where I am today, and seeing the grief she went through loosing her own mother had me holding my mother a bit tighter.
