*Christine was born a “normal” female although she felt her true identity was male.
*Chris’s parents were very loving and supportive, they let him know that they loved him.
*His father did believed it was a phase and that it would “pass” but despite that, he loved her.
*They were opposed to the idea of her permanently altering her appearance. *Chris recognized at a very young age. As early as nine she knew she’d rather be involved with girls than boys.
*She tried to hide the fact that she had breasts as she got old and it even left bruising on her chest.

There are many physical differences in male and female brains. These structural differences could explain the functional differences in men and women's brains. Males tend to make front-to-back connection patterns while females make left-to-right connection patterns. This could potentially mean that Christine makes front-to-back.
(Coon, Mitterer, & Martini, 2019, p.128)

Males and females have different types of connection patterns in their brain, we are assuming that Chris has the same connection pattern as a male. Gender targeted toys could have altered Chris' perception while exploring her gender identity. In response to wanting to be a boy, it led her to seek out transitioning from female to male. Although she is loved by her peers, her low self-confidence prevents her from having a consistent self-concept. If asked about her childhood, Chris would experience and explicit memory. Chris remembered a past experience as a child of feeling uncomfortable when she would go into the girl's restroom. Christine was conditioned to have poor feelings about gender based on prior experiences. Chris' parents didn't want her to alter her appearance they accepted her name, but they didn't want her to change her body.
