All by myself alone at home a feeling blue
Thoughts keep roaming through my mind, they're all of you
I wonder if you're dancing, with somebody new
I wonder, I wonder can't help it if I wonder
No matter which side of the pillow that I'm sleeping on
My dreams of you continue through until the dawn
And after that I find the day dream crew comes on
I wonder, I wonder, can't help it if I wonder
You care for someone else, I see
Well, then it's quite alright with me
I'm gonna get me dressed up in my Sunday suit
And find myself somebody who is twice as cute
And when you realize that you and I are through
I wonder, I wonder, I wonder what you'll do
All by myself alone at home a feeling blue
Thoughts keep roaming through my mind, they're all of you
I wonder

Louis Armstrong was born August 4, 1901 and died July 6, 1971. He was one of the most influence figures in jazz and was a very prominent singer, composer, and trumpeter in his time. He is known for transforming jazz and being highly regarded as an artist even though there was a lot of discrimination when he was alive.

I don't think this song was propaganda for the war. I actually think it could be anti-war because the lyrics talk about loss and how hard it is. Obviously he could be talking about a break up or something but this was during World War Two when many people wondered where their family members were and if they would ever return to them. Or if they will ever see them again. This clearly wasn't pro-war because a song that was propaganda for the war would have glorified someone dying in war. This song like many songs expressed feelings during hard times.

The song doesn't sound like it is supporting the war. It's a guy just talking about how sad it is wondering where someone is. I don't really like the song and at first it didn't seem like it was even about war. But is is about losing someone and you lose people in war.

I believe that the song is about someone in the homeland wondering what their loved ones are doing over seas in the war. Overall, they are wondering if they will ever see their loved one again because the war has taken so many lives.
