Hosted multiple community meetings to facilitate two-way communication and shared decision-making regarding district redesign and attendance zone changes.
District investment in Family and Community resulted in an increase from 11 full-time liaisons to 36.
Established Family Resource Centers in two feeder patterns.

Mariana Figueroa - Partnered with 3 organizations (Con Mi Madre, Breakthrough, and ACC) and offered a College Readiness Night where families had the opportunity to enroll their students in their programs which offer wrap around services with the main goal of students continuing their education and graduating from a 4 year college or trade school.

The FACE team hosted their second annual Parent Organization Expo which allowed our parent groups to learn from one another and further engage with community partners and district leaders. This has also resulted in more collaborative work with our parent groups through hosting District Leadership lunch and learns with parent groups, and upcoming Parent Org Task Force at the district level, and other meaningful engagement that is ultimately leading towards high academic success.

Our goal is

to build our cross-collaborative work with other departments and also further engage our parents and caregivers in the development and execution of resources (i.e. Parent focus group for our website, further elevating parent voice through our P.E.P. talks, Parent Org Task Force and Cross Collaborative Monthly Meetings are just to name a few).

The City of El Paso is rolling out a Community ID program in the form of an enhanced library card with identity and residency information. One example of the immediate benefit: the City has already partnered with a local credit union who will accept the card for access to banking. I hope to partner with EPISD Community Schools to help connect families who lack identification and could benefit from the program.

Focus more on formalizing strategic community partnerships to address the identified needs in our community. Essentially finding common ground so that we can share resources to benefit the community.
Connect the various supports available in our district so that our efforts are aligned and well-communicated to families.

We are in the process of designing a family engagement rubric to help campus leaders truly measure their progress. We also will be creating an interactive dashboard of all engagement and student progress metrics. Our goal is to ensure there is transparency and everyone is an equal player in family engagement
