Women’s History Month

This march we are celebrating Women’s History Month joined with National Women’s Day at march 8th. And also the 100th aniversary of passage of the 19th Amendment which contained the right for women to vote. This revolutionary movement started with only a tea party between Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott who had met a few years before at an abolitionist event but got denied of entry because of their gender. This evolved into The Seneca Falls Convention with much more participants such as Mary McClintock, Martha Coffin Wright and Jane Hunt. They were the ones who took first steps for gender equality.Okay here are the facts in a rough draft now let’s look at the comments the people of the street gave me:

„They were brave and flamboyant, however nowadays what we call feminism degrades the reason what they’ve been fighting for” – said a stranger from the streets

“We are assembled to protest against a form of government, existing without the consent of the governed—to declare our right to be free as man is free, to be represented in the government which we are taxed to support, to have such disgraceful laws as give man the power to chastise and imprison his wife, to take the wages which she earns, the property which she inherits, and, in case of separation, the children of her love.”
